Message	to ensure accuracy (of course) and repeatability. Also, developing metrics that are easy for people to understand is helpful as well. That's why you see 1/4 times/speed, 60-0 braking distance, skidpad #'s, etc. But you'll also note that any time the major auto mags do a sports car comparison (sorry, but MT is not a real auto mag, it's practically owned by Detroit) where do they go? drag strip? nope. It's gotta be on a racetrack - and a road course at that. That's where you separate the men from the boys, so to speak.
